Miss D -

Good call. I lived in Detroit from 1965-1968 (age 3-7). The first baseball game I ever went to was game 1 of the 1968 World Series. I had no idea what i was seeing but I watched Bob Gibson strike out 17 Tigers. Of course, my beloved Tigers came back to win in 7 games in a great picher's duel between Mickey Lolich and Bob Gibson.

To this day I have been a Tigers fan.

That alone is reason enough for you to follow Detroit.

All kidding aside. There are no rules for picking and following a team - but there are distinct rules for jumping on or off the bandwagon so once you have decided, that's it.

And you are never allowed to like the Yankees............
